Electric Bikes

Bicycles have a sensor on the pedal that activates the motor automatically when we start pedaling, and another on the brake that stops it if we press it. We have 3 speeds to regulate the help we want. For the rest they are normal bikes, only more fun.

Yes, both the BK14 and the BK16 are considered EPAC (Electronically Power Assisted Cycles) or pedal-assisted and are subject to the same traffic rules as conventional bicycles, being able to ride on the same type of roads and under the same conditions.

250 W is the legal limit for pedal-assist bikes. As it supports the force exerted on the pedals, you can climb hills without problems. On the flat, the engine is limited to 25 km/h by regulations, although it has plenty of power…

Although it seems easier to put the engine in front, the rear engine is safer, as it will prevent the wheel from slipping when taking a wet corner, for example.

In the BK-16 the battery is removable and has a lock to lock it. If you can’t or don’t want to take the bike home, you can take the battery out in seconds and charge it with the same charger

Although it is somewhat unusual, since they have a range of about 50 km, if the battery runs out they still work like a conventional bicycle, unlike scooters.

By regulation, the engine is limited to 25 km/h. From this speed, the motor stops but the bicycle can continue to increase speed, either because we pedal or because we ride downhill. As soon as the speed drops below 25 km/h, the engine will start up again.

Although the regulations may change depending on the country or municipality, as a general rule they apply the same as conventional bicycles and scooters: they cannot circulate on pavements, pedestrian areas (except if they accompany children under 12 years of age at less than 5 km/h). The maximum speed on the bike lanes is 30 km/h.

Electric motors are maintenance-free. For the rest, they have the same maintenance as a conventional bike: check screws, check the condition of the brakes and wheels and grease the chain.

The cost will depend on the level of battery remaining, your electricity tariff and the time of day you charge it, but around €0.03 per charge. Much less than a public transport ticket.

For any maintenance or repair task out of warranty you have two options: as most of the components are common to other bikes, you can go to the trusted workshop in your city. If you want to send it to us, we have our own technical service in Barcelona and the Canary Islands.

Contact us by phone 93 729 20 40. We will give you an approximate quote and give you the details for the pick-up

We have a warehouse and stock in the Canary Islands, so all shipments to the islands are made from there. Also the technical service, both for repairs and for warranty.

The components of the bike are covered by the 2-year warranty, except for the wear elements (wheels, brake pads, discs) and the battery, which has a 6-month warranty. If you need it, you must contact us to confirm that it is a repair included and process the shipping, which will be free of charge. Repairs are carried out at our headquarters in Barcelona, except for shipments from the Canary Islands, where we also have technical service.
